"One of her paintings, Eyes of the Night, was sold for US $10,000 to a local appreciator of furry art at Further Confusion 2004. This is the currently highest selling piece of art within the fandom to date." is so so far from the truth. I don't know WHICH one is the highest priced piece, but I know I can list at least 50 pieces higher priced than this.

For example, any piece from "Dogs Playing Poker" series by C.M Coolidge. Waterloo and A Bold Bluff particularly. Or, plenty of animated art cels from Disney can go above 10,000.

But were they sold within the fandom? (I would understand this to mean at an event that is specific to furry fandom.) --GreenReaper(talk) 04:15, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
"highest selling piece of art within the fandom" art within the fandom it says, not sold within the fandom. Perhaps change it to "This is the currently highest selling anthropomorphic piece to sell at an anthro-related convention" or something of the sort? Having it as "sold within the fandom" could still be argued or misunderstood so I think that would work... I know pieces sold for higher, from an anthro-artist, to another anthro-artist (but not a convention) for example, so that could also be considered within the fandom too. --Avalik 08:26, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
