Appropriate?[edit]

According to the article, this fraternity is less than 24 hours old. Does it really deserve its own article so soon? For all anyone knows, its members may get bored in a few weeks and abandon it before achieving any of their lofty goals.--Higgs Raccoon 23:10, 27 January 2012 (EST)

Looks like WE (Wikifur) are the start-up page =/ We already had other groups using/try to use the wiki as a start-up point. They were omitted for that fact, or being too new/furry relevant to be considered a proper article - Spirou 04:51, 28 January 2012 (EST)
No hits. WE are it (launching web page) - Spirou 05:01, 28 January 2012 (EST)
So WikiFur is the only hit for this? I guess I really should get a friend to host a website for me. o.o Coyo 06:34, 28 January 2012 (EST)
My friends are pretty dedicated, though, and we're actually planning our entire lives around this fraternity. Coyo 06:34, 28 January 2012 (EST)
I'm flattered that this article received attention at all. I didn't think anyone would notice or read this article that is getting your attention, but to address your concerns, Higgs, Spirou, if this group doesnt take off, i'll have a mod delete. End of discussion. I happen to like GreenReaper, and I dont want to take up his valuable server space with irrelevant content. May I Have Help With This Article?[edit]

Rather than simply deleting it, may I please have your assistance in learning how to clean up the article, and bring it in line with the rules of this wiki? I'd really appreciate it!

I just learned how to do a few templates, how to bold, how to mark a comment as mine with four tildes, and a few other nifty things. I really should remember this from when I was editing TVTropes and PSYC Wiki. Coyo 06:35, 28 January 2012 (EST)

What If I had a Friend Host an External Site?[edit]

What if the guys this article refers to hosted an external website that made the group a little more legitimate? would that qualify the article for nondeletion? Coyo 06:37, 28 January 2012 (EST)

Grrrr. It wont allow me to link the skype groupchat easily. Coyo 06:50, 28 January 2012 (EST)
Either way, I'm currently lurking at the IRC channel for WikiFur, GreenReaper is now online, and we can talk there. 71.164.238.90 13:52, 28 January 2012 (EST)

Deletion[edit]

One major rule is that Wikifur is not a "launchpad" or "staging area" or "Host site". We document set sites, people, characters, etc,... People who use the wiki to start new projects/ideas/species/fursonas will see those articles deleted. As it stands right now, no amount of editing points to the fact that you are using Wikifur as the startup page for your organization. No.

First set the group up, somewhere else. propagate the groups' ideas, elsewhere, then set up an article (even then, this group has not have enough furry propagation to merit such). If your friends are so dedicated to the ideal, the website should have been up and running the day before the article, at least. As a colleague watching this article, and as it as been marked for possible deletion, and no effort has been made to build an external presence, will delete this article this weekend, until such time it is a viable entry, then it can be undeleted - Spirou 22:15, 31 January 2012 (EST)
