Proposed merge[edit]
I'm not sure about a merge; would we have merged FA:U? I will admit it isn't even half-baked yet, though. --GreenReaper(talk) 04:33, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

- No response yet to my request for further information. I've changed it to 'cancelled' since they've removed the planning communication mechanism and annotated the article with references. - Yay references! I still vote for a merge, since I think putting what seems to be a convention idea someone had but edidn't make arrangements for into Category:Cancelled conventions rather clutters that category. -- Sine 16:20, 6 July 2011 (EDT)
- I agree with you. Perhaps we can do some kind of Defunct conventions subcategory as a peer to Cancelled/Proposed? Defunct meaning "the idea was proposed but supporting evidence suggests or enough time has passed to suggest the event has never and will never transpire, and it did not take paid registrations"? The paying registrations criteria would differentiate prematurely cancelled plans from defunct dreams. BlueOtter 16:35, 6 July 2011 (EDT)
- I put on Talk:ScandinAviary that we could do with a category for "Convention ideas that didn't get into significant planning stages". As I reply now, I wonder if something like a List of convention ideas might be better. I don't think most such ideas need separate articles. -- Sine 16:40, 6 July 2011 (EDT)
