Convention Infoboxes (when)

Question: At what time do we add an infobox to a convention?. Article size shouldn't be the determining factor, since is not length of information (e.g. Person's infoboxes [ Fred Patten ]), but existence. Only after the second iteration?, third?. Unlike person's infoboxes, can they be used for a one time event that was cancelled? - Spirou 22:44, 4 May 2013 (EDT)

My assumption is that when on a stub with only a few lines, so that the information in an infobox is repetition or reformating of something that can be seen without even scrolling, infoboxes or nothing but clutter. Others may disagree! (Some others have not my deep dislike for infoboxes.) -- Sine 00:50, 5 May 2013 (EDT)
