Image licensing[edit]

the following are e-mail responces from Ken Singshow granting permission of the use of both text and pictures that are copyright of Andorozon:

Hello,

thank you for offering to make a wiki entry for Andorozon. I would provide character drawings for it, but currently I am busy with the preparation for Anthrocon trip. Also, andorozon.com is currently down due to the server transfer.

Feel free to ask me if you have questions regarding Andorozon.

Sincerely,

Ken S.

Questions[edit]

Does any one know how I can make this page better anmd not so messy?RVDDP2501 20:41, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

The problem was due to the left-aligned character images. For future reference, images should generally be right-aligned.
The way the page is now, however, the images are flowing way past the article. We'll fix to figure out what to do there. Perhaps all of the images could be shrunk down to 100px or so. I'm open to suggestions from others. --Giza 21:26, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
Can you keep the gap for now but have the pics alternate in position or something? (left, right, left, etc.)RVDDP2501 02:35, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
My understanding is that it's generally considered good style to NOT have pictures on the left, because that causes the text to indent and can be hard to read. But I'd like to hear what others have to say since I've "only" been doing Wikis for about a year now. --Giza 02:50, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
P.S. ithe message at the top the correct way to paste an e-mail from the comic creator giving his permission to use his pics?RVDDP2501 02:36, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
Not really. If you have permission, you don't need to not that in the article itself. Rather you would click on the image and click it's edit tab to note that. The reason being is that copyright information is usually kept with the images. --Giza 02:50, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Yeah but Sine (I think thats his name) was asking about Text as well as pics, what do you say?RVDDP2501 01:31, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

If you don't have definite permission to use the text then you should either obtain such permission or rewrite the articles so they do not use the text. --GreenReaper(talk) 09:57, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Hey GreenReaper, RVDDP2501 here once more, I just sent an e-mail to Ken Singshow (Andorozon Creator) to make sure I have permission, if he replies and gives permission, how do I paste his e-mail, just "cut and past" the text or what?

Hey GreenReaper, RVDDP2501 here again, listen, Ken Singshow reponded to my e-mail and granted permission for both pics and text, he even supplied me with some pics, how do I get licences or EXACTLY how do I perform that perceedure with copyright you told me about, please forgive me I'm still getting acustom to Wiki style pages and proceedures, so please bare with me here, here, I'll paste his message and I will upload the pics as well as their names so you see them.

Subtlety[edit]

Rokki the flying squirrel (a subtle nod to Jay Ward)

Does anyone know what subtle means? Cuz this is anything but subtle. --Lynn Onyx 05:54, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
