While I dont deny anything here or know any involved parties personally, these seem to be fairly heavy charges with no proof to back them up.. the author of the referenced usenet post has a history of trashing other MUCKs (Once again I've run into an abusive MU* administration), and as a wizard himself seems to have a conflict of interests.. Can we get other sources? ~ Downspin

I'm one of the sources, Mchinjo. Just the other day, someone else I know brought up Akida in a negative light. I spoke with Akida himself last night about the article, and he didn't deny any of the accusations. GreenReaper can validate this. But most of the stuff you're going to find as a source are "witnesses", which haven't necessarily put their opinions and events up on the web for all to see. Spaz Kitty 19:57, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Alright, hopefully someone is willing to make another public statement to refer this article to.. the way its written sounds like bad rumor. ~ Downspin
If you want more sources, then connect to Sunrise MUCK or The Lion King MUCK and ask about Akida/African Legends and see what kind of response you get. Otherwise, the things that happened are factual, and each claim is referenced by either a user of WikiFur or a public article. These are not "bad rumors". Spaz Kitty 21:52, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
That reads better, more NPOV, thanks. The fandom spreads alot of malicious rumor, anyone unfamiliar with Akida or thinking about joining African Legends should have a reputable source before doing so. Thank you. ~ Downspin
African Legends has been down for 3 years. No one's going to join it. Spaz Kitty 22:08, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
