Tails and Tornadoes Fur Con, commonly referred to as TTFC, is an Oklahoma based furry convention calling itself "Oklahoma's First Hotel Furry Convention".

History[edit]

Founded in August 2018[1] and held at the Marriott Tulsa Hotel Southern Hills[2] in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the convention is a nonprofit organization, registered under a 501(c)3,[3] with artist, fursuiter, fursuit maker, and streamer PeaceWolf as the chairperson and president for its inaugural year in 2019.[4]

Con Chair change[edit]

On December 1, 2019, chairperson and president PeaceWolf resigned[clarify] from her TTFC's leadership post[5] after a fandom backlash against the con[6] for nominating American christian, artist, fursuiter, and fursuit maker Tsebresos for TTFC's 2020 guest of honor.

This public reaction was due to the discovery of some of Tsebresos's old social media posts (especially on X), which were viewed[7] as being detrimental to gays and LGBTQIA+ in general (which she did not deny, and even tried, late, to apologize, to no avail), plus her apparent artist refusal to draw any adultl gay art commissions (even though it was stated on her commission TOS on her website years before this incident).

Because of all this, she was also promptly labeled a homophobe online[8] and worse,[9] and led to the TTFC's new leadership[who?][10] to rescind Tsebresos's nomination immediately, causing several staff members to resign as a result.[clarify]

TTFC's new leadership alsoput out a statement on August 28, 2020, on X formally distancing themselves from PeaceWolf:

In light of recent events[clarify] we want to emphasize that PeaceWolf is no longer with TTFC.[11]

It all became moot due to the cancellation of TTFC 2020 caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since 2021, fursuiter Mattew has been TTFC's Convention Chair.[12]
