Susan Deer is a female furry artist best known as being the creator of the webcomic A Doemain of Our Own, patterned after her fursona, a charming doe (hence the pun in the title) named Susan Hartland, for which she won the 2006 Ursa Major Award for "Best Anthropomorphic Other Literary Work."

She was also one of the more recent artists for John Robey's comic, NeverNever.

Susan served on the board of directors for Anthrocon as director of programming from 2000-2004.

Now residing in California as a member of the Caer_Carnivore Household.

Currently, she is brushing up on her digital art skills, having been mostly a traditional media artist her entire life. In the works should be some mainstream digital and traditional illustrations and paintings, as well as animation shorts. Not forgetting her fans, she also plans to experiment with comic book format works for a somewhat more mature group of topics Doemain.
