Sue Slate: Private Eye (sometimes written as Sue Slate, Private Eye) is a mystery fiction parody starring anthro lesbian cats in San Francisco, California, USA, written by American author Lee Lynch, and published in 1989 by Naiad Press.

Premise[edit]

Sue Slate is not only a feline private investigator in San Francisco, she's also a lesbian -- a lesbicat. While investigating the "Case of the Kidnapped Kittens," Sue finds a human dead, which leads her to an AIDS clinic and a mystery involving new medical findings.

Sue Slate: Private Eye was nominated for the 2nd Lambda Literary Award for Lesbian Science Fiction/Fantasy in 1990.[1]
