#Softpaws is a channel located on the FurNet IRC network. Initially started as a lighthearted alternative to #furry, the split up of FurNet and AnthroChat left furs without a general chat channel on FurNet. As a result of this, several furs began to make #softpaws a new central location for general furry chat on FurNet.

#Softpaws is generally one of the most populated channels on FurNet, with Lymril heading the channel as the main channel operator. The overall rating of #softpaws is a PG-13 rating which is quite flexible and is generally kept to civil chat.
