Shy Matsi Lupine is a fursuiter from central New Jersey. He was born on July 26, 1978 at Mountainside Hospital, Glenridge, New Jersey. Shy began participating in the furry community at age 15 with local werewolf packs in his area, active in both roleplay and lifestyle.

His character's creation came from the Sawtooth Pack Wolves, sponsored by the Wolf Education and Research Center. They were dedicated to reintroducing wolves back into the wild and in 1996 they did so, with the beta wolf being Matsi, who was the shyest in his pack.

Shy's fursuit character is Hilahila, a Kermode bear. Hilahila was built by Kodi, and debuted at Midwest FurFest 2008.[1]

Shy regularly attends conventions and enjoys volunteering. He was the conchair of United! from 2007 to 2008 and has been a volunteer registration staff member at Midwest FurFest (2005-2010). Shy is on the staff of Fur the 'More (2013-present), FurryCon (2013-present) and Megaplex (2014-present) directing with Hospitality; he also volunteers at Anthrocon (2009-present) in the Artist Alley.[2] He is the owner of Furry4Life and FurriesXtreme, both are furry social networking websites.
