Shon Howell, also known as King Cheetah (real name Shaun Howell; born February 11, 1962, died May 13, 2019), was an anime/furry artist who lived in San Antonio, Texas, USA.[1] In the 80's, he served as a medic in the US army. In the 90's, he emerged as a prolific anthromorphic artist.

Howell's journal on Furaffinity said in December of 2018 that he had cancer and was said to have 15 months to two years to live.[2] He reportedly died on May 13, 2019.

Fandom involvement[edit]

His works have appeared in Furrlough, Genus, Gallery and many other publications. He was also an editor at Antarctic Press, and spawned the idea of selling portfolio collections of furry artwork at ConFurence.
