Scotiacon 2022
Scotiacon 2022 "Disco Fever" was the tenth instance of the Scotiacon convention, held 11-14 February 2022 at the Crowne Plaza Glasgow in Glasgow, Scotland, having been postponed from 2021[1] due to the COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus pandemic.
At the Closing Ceremony for Scotiacon 2019[2] it was announced that there would be no Scotiacon in 2020 due to the convention relocating from the Mercure Livingston, which had been home to the event since 2014.
Due to the amount of preparation already undertaken "Disco Fever" - the theme originally proposed for 2021 - was carried forward to 2022, and the Guest of Honour was Dasker of Camodile costumes.[3]
On 4 April 2022, it was announced that the convention had raised £11,650 for their charity, Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue.[4] There were 537 attendees.[5]
