Sans Souci

Sans Souci (French for 'no worries') is the nickname of Gilda Rimessi, an Italian amateur artist, born in 1972. She's mostly known for her webcomic, The Sinner Dragon, now abandoned. Her favourite techniques are black and white chiaroscuro, usually made with ink and pen, or a simple biro pen, pencil and watercolour.

Sans Souci is also the name of her alter ego on the net, a striped hyena, usually depicted in humorous/surreal situations.^[1]

Sans Souci's new webcomic, Archetypes, is a PG-13 rated fantasy comic, with a lot of anthropomorphic characters.^[2] Is currently^[when?] on hiatus.

A new comic featuring the striped hyena as the main character started in December 2008. CuoreVoodoo.^[3] Sans works for an 'Occult agency' called Cuore Voodoo ('Voodoo Heart').
