Saints Row IV and furry[edit]

General Gameplay[edit]

When playing Saints row you may come across randomly-generated people and enemies wearing furry-style mascot costumes. An in-game character named "Professor Genki" is a pink anthropomorphic cat dressed in stereotypical scientist clothing, he may be found wandering the streets or in a specific minigame based around him and as an enemy.

Some of the furry mascot costumes featured in-game.

Customisation[edit]

There are many mascot suits available in-game for the player to dress up in. Also of interest are various animal heads (including eagle and horse), and even a werewolf suit.

The head of the werewolf suit has a texture error, a fix for the PC version can be found here.

Veteran Child and Furries[edit]

During the game there is a mission where the player has to fend off and kill waves of varied fursuiters whilst waiting for a character named Veteran Child to lose his defensive forcefield. The NPC characters in this mission mention furries repeatedly:-

Boss: "Since when exactly has Veteran Child been the voice of the furry generation?"

Younger version of Shaundi: "Since never...why?!"

Boss: "Why? WHY? Look around. We are SURROUNDED by furries!"

Younger version of Shaundi: "Yeah, ew. Hold on, are you tripping? Haha, total lightweight."

Shaundi: "This is just a bunch of college students, boss. There isn't a fuzzy purple ass in sight."

Boss: "Wait really? -Shit!"
