Roady McLoyart, also known as Tanner Tokageh, (born August 17, 1991) is a fursuiter, artist, and activist. He sustains a nomadic lifestyle in the Pacific Northwest, USA, specifically in the Seattle and Tacoma area and is often seen not too far away from his trusty campervan, Connie the Coachmen.
Roady is known to occasionally make an appearance at major meetups such as When Furballs Strike, or regional conventions. Most notably FurIdaho 2013, RainFurrest 2013, 2014, and 2015, as well as VancouFur 2015 and 2016. Other notable appearances outside the fandom include the music festival CascadiaNW in 2015 and 2016, and the Bellingham Procession of Species in 2016.
His current fursuit was homemade in 2014 using a resin blank, teeth, tongue, and eyes from DreamVision Creations. Looking for a style that crosses toony and realistic, the final result produced a head very similar to the work of Jim Henson. Modifications to eyelids and hair have been made in the three years since.
Roady has been involved in the fandom to some extent since 2007. Though officially entering the fandom through Pokémon, his interest in scaly critters was influenced in early childhood by The Land Before Time, The Rescuers Down Under, and the Magic School Bus episode "Cold Feet." Eventually adopting his current fursona as a red-headed goanna in 2009.
After ten years of going by his given name, Tanner, he adopted the furname Roady in late 2016. After graduating Montana State University in 2014, Roady moved to Western Washington and has been steadfastly involved in volunteer work in the Cascadia movement as both an environmentalist and humanitarian. An avid outdoorsman, Roady enjoys exploring the lush landscape outside of the city within the Cascades and Olympic Peninsula during his free time.
