Rachie is a feral female snow leopard created by Rachael McDougall in 2007 as a fursona adaption. At first she was named Racheh but her creator later decided against to change this to her modern-name.

As a fursona, Rachie is very brightly coloured and each shade chosen for her design has a reason behind it to represent her creator's personality (explanation below):

  • Blue This is the main (and deliberately predominant) colour of her fur. It is her creator's favourite colour and is chosen mainly for this reason. It represents the unchangeable part of her, who she is, the underlying truth of her nature and literally her "true colours". (#8FABCF)
  • Pink The second colour of Rachie's fur is pink, chosen for its high affiliation with femininity and girls. It covers her snout, ears and underside. Her creator decided that this colour would be used to suit the fact that she has matured and grown up since childhood, representing her being female and the fact that she is now a young woman, ultimately there to stand for what she has become.   • White This colour is found as markings on her paws, tail-tip, spots and the patches around her eyes. It is used to represent the eccentricity in her personality and contrasts greatly with the rest of her pelt (which is more neon). It stands for her intelligent, logical way of thinking but also her personal flaws, such as her general shyness and fear of making mistakes. (#E7DFDB)
  • Black The last addition to her design, the colour of black does not make an appearance on her fur but her eyes. It makes up a very small part of her design but is considered, by her creator, to be quite a powerful asset. She says that it depicts the part of her that she 'wishes [she] never had'-- the negativity and some anger problems. (#171313)

Rachie has also noted that her fursona can have wings, but she has not yet decided if they are a permanent change made to her character. "Usually, they're drawn as soft, feathery and cuddly-- perfect for pulling friends close or cuddling them."

On choosing the species of her Fursona, Rachie chose it to be her favourite animal-- a cat, especially big cats. One of her favourites is a snow leopard because "[She] loves the fact that they aren't big, hulking beasts, but swift and furry and beautifully marked." She also chose this species to be her fursona because she prefers their thick, voluminous tails over the thinner ones of lions and other big cats.

Rachie was born in Essex, England, but was moved northwards to Sheffield when she was 4.
