Publications department

The publications department is responsible for producing various printed matter related to the convention. The majority of this deadline-oriented work is done in the months before the convention takes place.

The publications department includes staff members with experience in desktop publishing, editing, creating themed artwork, and graphic design. Typical items produced by the publications department may include:

• Convention booklet (conbook) and guide
• Pocket program
• Local dining guide/maps
• Advertisements (flyers to be left on other conventions freebie table, conbook ad swaps, or paid advertising in other publications)
• Administrative forms, booklets, and signage
• Press kits/press badges
