Polarden.org is an internet domain name owned by Darrel Exline. This name was registered originally in 1994 (back when internet domain names were still free) and the website created there replaced The Polar Den BBS, which Darrel took down when he moved from Prescott, AZ to Tempe, AZ in 1994.
Polarden.org was originally hosted in a webserver farm run by a Phoenix-area company called Internet Direct. ID was later sold to Go-Site, then purchased by Mindspring which has since merged with Earthlink. During all these years and numerous transfers, the polarden.org domain has never been down for unscheduled outages for more than a few minutes, and its longest scheduled outage has been only 30 minutes.
