Philippine Anthro Festival, also known as PHAnthroFest, is the Philippines' first furry convention. The first Philippine Anthro Festival was held on May 17, 2014 at SM Megamall Conference Center.
The team that started the planning was formed by Tooth Less in February 2013. Original plans of having the first furry convention at a hotel was scrapped as it would make the ticket price too expensive for the attendees to afford, most of which are students depending on daily school allowances. It was then decided that the first iteration is to be held in a conference hall. The plan for the convention was first revealed to the public in June 2013.
Composing of 7 staff and 8 volunteers, appointment of Xyrus Chase as the co-head led to the quick implementation of convention creatives like human resource operations, convention events operations, design and marketing while Tooth Less was in charge of logistics, business development, sponsorship, exhibitions and finances. Together with first batch of volunteers; the first iteration, Philippine Anthro Festival 2014, took place on May 17, 2015 at the SM Megatrade Conference Center, SM Megamall.
