Ostrich (species)

The Ostrich is a large flightless bird, a member of the ratite clan. Ostriches are native to Africa. They are omnivores, as they eat plants and invertrebrates. The earliest ostrich ancestors lived 50 million years ago or so (see wikipedia:Palaeotis).

Ostriches are common in cartoons, but they are rare in the furry fandom as a whole.
