Mickelräven, also known as Micke the Fox (in English) and Micke Kettunen (in Finnish. Real name Michael Helin; born June 19, 2001), is a independent artist and YouTuber originally from Helsinki, Finland. A nickname is often swapped around between Micke and Mickel. According to him, h. He's also known as Micke the Fox in English, or Micke Kettunen in Finnish.

Biography[edit]
Michael is a Finnish-Swedish, being born in Finland, but his native language is Swedish. He grew up in the urban area of Helsinki, where he attended Swedish-speaking kindergarten, pre-school, and elementary school.
Fandom involvement[edit]
Michael first joined the furry fandom on October 15, 2019, after being exposed to it and doing research over the two previous months. He is mostly idle in the fandom but is the most active on Discord.
Fursona[edit]
On the same day as Michael joined the fandom, he designed his first and only fursona to date, named after a childhood nickname he had at kindergarten, which was Mickelräven (Micke the Fox, translated to English). Michael's fursona is a red fox, with stripes and detailed markings colored white, black, and blue (originally turquoise). His eye color is teal.
He designed the fursona the way how he pictured himself if he was an animal. His color palette is directly inspired by his local hockey team Helsinki IFK's color scheme, having red, white, and blue. He added black to balance the color scheme to look more natural than artificial. And the shade of blue was originally turquoise until he later changed it to the same shade of blue as Helsinki IFK.
YouTube[edit]
Michael's oldest surviving YouTube channel was created on December 5, 2012, under the name Mike's Android Blogspot. Which has since been changed to Luna Winger in 2014, Plex Winger in 2015, and Plexi in 2017. During that time on his old channel, he often uploaded Geometry Dash related content and a few Five Nights At Freddy's animations on Source Filmmaker in 2016. In 2017, he ditched his old channel, and moved on to his current channel that was created on February 15, 2017, as a secondary channel for Guitar Hero custom charts, under the name Guitar Hero Plexi. He made it his permanent replacement channel in August of the same year.
He then started making shitposts, music rankings, and content related to the EA Sports NHL franchise. Generally videos he simply felt making at the time. In early 2019, he announced that he would change his username from Plexi to his real name Michael Helin, as according to him, he has felt dissatisfied with his online persona and name, and wanted to forget about it and be himself. He chose his real name as his username, as he couldn't come up with a new username.
Furry[edit]
On January 6, 2020, Michael revealed to the public that he's a furry on a video simply titled Michael Helin, where he showed an artwork he made of his fursona on the last 7 seconds of the video. The video is a video where he recaps his entire life up to that point in less than 4 minutes to the song Dreams by Brandi Carlile. Since the upload, his style of video making remained unchanged, except he then changed his YouTube channel username to his fursona name Mickelräven, on April 3, 2020. And his old channel is now named Geometry Dash Mickelräven, to let his audience know it was his mostly Geometry Dash-focused channel.
On the video All EA Sports NHL songs RANKED, from worst to best (2021) uploaded on November 7, 2020, he thought to make his videos commentary based, and said in the outro that he will change his style of video making in the coming future, and hinted that he will make his YouTube channel a furry channel. His video production has since slowed down and has yet to change to the style he wants to go for, as he has been attempting to make his own character stills for his videos during that time.
Awards and milestones[edit]
Michael reached his 1000 subscriber milestone on his current channel on October 24, 2020.
