MancFurs is a community group, representing furs residing in (but not limited to) the ten metropolitan boroughs of Greater Manchester county, England. This includes Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Wigan, and the cities of Manchester and Salford.

Mancfurs generally receives 200+ attendees, with attendees not just from Greater Manchester, but from all over the UK. There is no membership, and entry is free. The only requirement being that the Code of Conduct must be followed which can be found at * [1]

The current meets are held at The Church pub, (formerly known as Churchills) and is occasionally hosted at BarPop, both venues are situated in the historic Canal St, considered the center of Manchester's Gay Village * [2] The event is typically held every second Saturday of each month, and has been such for approx. 15 years.

MancFurs Staff[edit]

Mancfurs maintains a small staff and is an organization composed of a Secretary, Chairperson, Treasurer, Social Media Manager, IT Manager and an additional staff member who moderates the social spaces both offline and online. They also have a crew of volunteers that assist the Staff in managing the crowds at the in-person meets.

The organization is bound by a constitution, and moderates a Telegram Chat that currently has approximately 650+ members and an Announcements Channel with 800+ members. This is where updates on the in person meets can be found, in addition to competitions or other social activities.
