MancFurs is a local furry community for the Greater Manchester region in the United Kingdom.

Meets[edit]

MancFurs meets are held every second Saturday at The Church. The meets start at 12pm (noon) and finish at 5pm. All attendees must be 18 years or older.

The venue is easily accessible via all modes of public transport, with car parks available nearby if coming from afar. The inside of the venue is mostly flat, with ramps leading to main areas (including the Fursuit Lounge).

There is a dedicated changing space at the back of the venue for fursuiters. Entry to the Fursuit Lounge requires checking bags in with MancFurs Staff. Fursuiters are marked with wristbands for ease of access.

There used to be a pre-meet available for those arriving at Manchester Piccadilly Station, where attendees would meet up half an hour before the meet and all walk together to the venue. However, this was phased out just before the COVID-19 pandemic due to the rising popularity of the meet.

There is a Code of Conduct publicly available to view online. This must be followed by those attending the meet in person, as well as those attending any of MancFurs official online social spaces.

Attendance[edit]

MancFurs generally receives approximately 200 attendees per meet, with approximately 50-60 of those members bringing their fursuits.

Venue[edit]

The current meets are held at The Church on Chorlton Street, at the centre of Manchester's Gay Village. Sometimes, the meets are temporarily moved to Bar Pop - the sister venue to The Church.

Staff and Volunteers[edit]

MancFurs has 8 dedicated members of staff who look after the meets, including a small council who oversee the management. There are also several extra volunteers who help out on the day of the meets.

As of 2023, MancFurs is an organization composed of a Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer.
