Makyo is an American fur, a "composer, programmer, photographer, writer, and student" who lives in Colorado.[1] Their fursona is an arctic fox. They were previously known by Ranna (a red fox), and sometimes known as Macchi (a caramel-colored river otter), Majo (a goat), and Younes (an Ethiopian wolf).[2] In May 2012, they married JD Fuchs.[3]

In 2011, Makyo commissioned a fursuit of Macchi from jillcostumes.

Makyo visualized the results of nearly three years of data from Klisoura's Furry Survey.[4]

Makyo helps run the website [adjective][species] where they are also a writer[5]. They also run the Characters @ OpenFurry site. They designed the 2012 [adjective][species] Census and Survey, which they administered in person at Further Confusion 2012.[6] In 2013, they took over management of The Furry Survey from Klisoura.[7] Additionally, they help run Bookmarfs!, a furry book club.[8]
