Llamas (Lama glama) are South American camelids widely used as a meat and pack animal.

Llamas are typically used as derogatory labels within and without the furry fandom. One of the more common usage of the terms is used as a derogatory title to describe a newbie furry. This label is an import from gaming and early Internet cultures where it is used to describe a person that does not play the game very well and is frequently used synonymously with the term lamer, which may have had its origins in the word llama.

Llama characters[edit]

Llama characters are very uncommon in the furry fandom. Those that do exist often undertake radical changes to the species (such as coloration and fur type), and very few have common traits between them.
