Lakeside Furs is a furry summer convention in Austria. The first cons took place at Grundlsee, a mountain lake in Salzkammergut, Upper Styria. The purpose of the convention is to have a relaxing time in a beautiful landscape and come together in a personal atmosphere. As there is no strict separation between organizers and guests, everyone is invited and expected to participate and help.

Lakeside Furs 2007[edit]

Lakeside Furs 2007 was held from 20 to 22 July 2007 at the Grundlsee Youth & Family Guesthouse with 20 participants. Dinner and breakfast were provided by the hotel, a T-shirt was designed by Dewo.

The program included an art show with art by Dranenk, fursuit presentations by Nubi, campfires/barbecue, swimming in the lake and hiking to the Toplitzsee. Lakeside Furs 2007 was co-organized by Dranenk (webmaster), Meshiska (location discoverer and pet coordinator), unci (registration and hotel contact) and Yukon (program coordinator).

Lakeside Furs Underwater 2007[edit]

An underwater edition of Lakeside Furs was held from 31 August to 2 September at the same location. Included was a 1-day diving course, with all material provided by the diving school, as well as a campfire, a trip to Bad Aussee, a late night hike and lots of snuggling. Lakeside Furs Underwater 2007 had 10 participants (one of them only for one night).

Lakeside Furs 2008[edit]

The participants of LSF 2007 agreed that it would be desirable to extend the con by one day in the next year. It took place from 24 to 27 July 2008 at the same location with a maximum capacity of 40 furries. Among the events was a fursuit workshop.
