Kiran Lightpaw (born September 1, 1981 in Melbourne, Florida, U.S.A.) is a anthropomorphic writer, furry convention and group organizer, and former comedian who lives in Huntsville, Alabama. He is a graduate of Auburn University and a software engineer by trade.

Kiran first got involved in the fandom through The Lion King fandom in 1994. Formerly a very active roleplayer on FurryMUCK (particularly in FurrySpace), once he left to study at university, he found he didn't have as much time for roleplaying as he used to. As a result, he helped to organize the AuburnFurs furry community to provide some camaraderie among the furry fan population in eastern Alabama.

In 2003, Kiran helped found Furry Weekend Atlanta. He is on the Executive Committee as the Director of Operations. From 2006 to 2009, he also served on Mission Control (board of directors) at Rocket City Furmeet as the Registration Coordinator, and has been known to turn up as a volunteer at other conventions.

In 2011, he created the Bamafurs online community, modeled after Georgia Furs, to create a community among the furry fan population throughout the entire state of Alabama.

He moonlights as a writer, writing science fiction stories, usually with furry and/or slice-of-life storylines. From 2004 to 2007, he was also a comedian, doing both stand-up and improvisational comedy with Flain Falcon, Crazywolf, and Brody Catsmouth.

He is an active member of NARF, and is also a Christian (an Episcopalian) who is active with his home parish in Huntsville.
