Kion is the son of Simba and Nala, the younger brother of Kiara, and the prince of the Pride Lands. He is the fiercest member and leader of the Lion Guard, a team of animals who protect the Pride Lands and defend the Circle of Life. Each member of said Lion Gaurd have The Mark of the Guard, a symbol of lion head, on their left sides.
He is the main protagonist of The Lion Guard, a TV series based on The Lion King.
Trivia[edit]
- In The Lion King: Six New Adventures, a book series inspired by The Lion King, Simba has a single son named Kopa. Any mention of Kion or Kiara is absent.
- Both Kopa and Kion became friends with a young hyena female (Kopa with Asante, Kion with Jasiri).
- Unlike his older sister Kiara (she went to Outland which was forbidden), his father Simba (he went to Elephant Graveyard where Mufasa says not to go), Kion is the obedient cub. But he is not first through, Vitani is the other cub that is obedient to her mother.
