Fandom involvement[edit]

Kahuki was the Convention Chairman of Rocky Mountain Fur Con 2007 and 2008.[4] He was the CEO of its parent organization, the Mid-American Anthropomorphic and Arts Corporation.[citation needed]

Controversy[edit]

Kendal Ray Emery, who was publicly listed as the registered agent for the Mid-American Anthropomorphic and Arts Corporation,[5][6] was convicted in 1993[7] for "Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor".[8]

Kahuki Lairu stepped down as Rocky Mountain Fur Con's chair surrounding his past criminal misconduct,[3] but despite this, remained on the board.[9]
