JTigerclaw (real name: Jon Stelter) is a furry artist from Savannah, Georgia. He is best know as the artist of the webcomic Fletcher Apts, which he started in October 2005.

Originally from Galveston, Texas, JTigerclaw (or "JT" as he likes to go by) went to college at Savannah College of Art and Design where he graduated from in March 2007 with a BFA in Broadcast Design and a minor in Interactive Design. Apart from his comic and art, he also enjoys playing basketball and keeping up with his favorite teams, the Houston Rockets and the Phoenix Suns and watching his favorite player, Steve Nash. He also an avid punk rock fan and is in a punk rock band called Flappy, in which he plays guitar and shares songwriter/singing duties.

JTigerclaw lives in Savannah, GA with three roommates from college (two of which play in his band). He draws his comic and other furry art, plays in his band, and spends time on the internet. He is single.

[edit] Fursona

JTigerclaw's fursona is your average orange tiger with brown eyes and shaggy brown hair, about shoulder length. He wears a yellow t-shirt and camo shorts with a black studded belt. This style most closely resembles a skater style, which is modeled after JTigerclaw's real life clothing choice. He also wears a necklace with alternating silver cylinders and black spheres and has a piercing in his left eyebrow and in the right side of his lip, all of which he has in real life.

In some instances, (like in his comic) his fursona is drawn without certain details to make things a little easier. When this happens, the two piercings are usually omitted, as well as the Vans logo on the front of his shirt. Also, unlike his fursona, JTigerclaw wears black eyeglasses more often than not in real life.

Though some may assume that the J in JTigerclaw stands for Jon, this is not the case. The J was mostly tacked on to the beginning of the name to be more unique and because it was the first letter of his first name (Jon). JTigerclaw is actually just one word though, and the J actually does not stand for anything.

JTigerclaw owns a fursuit of his fursona. It was constructed by Don't Hug Cacti[1] and debuted at Furry Weekend Atlanta 2009.[2]

Most of JTigerclaw's artistic efforts go toward his webcomic, Fletcher Apts. However, more of JTigerclaw's art, including commissions and personal pieces can be found at his Fur Affinity account (updated most frequently) and his VCL account (updated less frequently). He has also had his art featured in the Furry Weekend Atlanta Conbook and the FurFright Conbook in 2007, a guest comic on the webcomic The Suburban Jungle, and a guest comic on the webcomic, Concession.

JTigerclaw has been to a few furry conventions, including Anthrocon and Mephit Furmeet X in 2006 and Furry Weekend Atlanta, Anthrocon and FurFright in 2007. He is a moderator and active poster on the Furrie Haven forum run by his good friend Katalina and has been known to post on a few other furry based forums, including the Jack forum and the Concession forum, as well as the Comic Genesis forum (not a furry forum).
