The main characters are husband-and-wife foxes named Fred and Maureen who live in the fictitious town of Mullein Fields, New Jersey.
This comic is a partial sequel to Hyer's earlier comic Mullein Fields, which also featured two main characters named Fred and Maureen, though they are unrelated to the characters in this comic.
