This article is about therian gatherings. There are also furry dance parties in Kansas City and Toronto called Howl.

Howls are gatherings of were enthusiasts and people involved in therian communities. Usually these howls are held outdoors in warm weather and last all weekend. The events include swimming, eating meat, hunting, and drumming by the open fire. The participants enjoy nature and getting back to their primal roots, and so many may actually vocalize by howling, hence the name.

Well-known howls include Howlapalooza and Spirit Howl, but there are many smaller ones.

Furry conventions often feature midnight howls, in which participants gather outside to howl.
