Garrett Ho was an cartoonist, illustrator, and professional animator who lived in Carson, California.[1]

Biography[edit]

A CalArts graduate, Garrett did professional work for the animation business (mainly as a storyboard artist) from 1988 to 2006, especially for Disney TV and Warner Bros. Animation, as well as working on some of the Mirage Studios' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles spin-off comics.

He contributed to the pilot episode of The Ren & Stimpy Show, Big House Blues, penciled issues of Mighty Mutanimals from 1991 to 1992, and provided artwork for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. During the early 2000s, Ho was a storyboard artist on Disney's House of Mouse until his retirement in 2006, citing health reasons.

Death[edit]

Garrett died on November 5, 2023[2] of heart failure due to complications related to diabetes. He is survived by his father and sister.

Fandom involvement[edit]

Garrett Ho was a member of Rowrbrazzle and contributed to several furry comics (for MU Press, Radio Comix, and Antarctic Press) and related fanzines, even so, Ho considered himself more of an non-fur illustrator doing art of furry interest than being an actual furry.
