Garden State Fur The Weekend (GSFTW) is an annual furry convention held in New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA.

The first event took place May 3-5, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick with the theme of New Jersey Diners, with the Guests of Honor being writer and artist Leaf Dubois[1] and fursuiter Coopertom.[2] The convention had 957 registered attendees and over $6000 was raised for the convention's charity, The Pipsqueakery.[3][4]
Con Chairman Shy Matsi along with the Board for the con have announced a 2025 con with the theme "Back Stage Magic". It's set to take place May 2nd to the 4th 2025.

On January 11, 2024, GSFTW issued an official statement against Nazi furs and the Furry Raiders.[6] and on January 13th, DashingFoxie tweeted, "It is with a heavy heart that in light of recent medical concerns and events within my personal life that I, Dashing Foxie, will be stepping down as con chair of GSFTW."[7]
The same day Garden State Fur The Weekend made an official post on Twitter, now X, highlighting DashingFoxie's own, stating in part: "we will be moving forward as the Board to review and appoint a new Con Chair as soon as possible while adhering to our policies."[8] On January 14th, Shy Matsi accepted the position of con chair for GSFTW.[9]
The convention has not confirmed in any official capacity that the change in Chairperson is about anything beyond their aforementioned statement of DashingFoxie's choice to step down regardless of the previous Chair's past affiliation with the Furry Raiders.[10] This transition was also accompanied by the removal of users in GSFTW chat groups who have been identified as involved in activity condemned by the con.[11]
