Furry Fiesta 2009 was a furry convention held in Dallas, Texas, USA on February 20-22, 2009 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. In preparation for the convention, a contract with the hotel had been signed as of April 20, 2008, and the Dallas Regional Anthropomorphic Meeting Association (DRAMA) was formed as a non-profit governing organization and a full convention staff assembled.

The Guest of Honor was Nexxus. The Artist Guest of Honor was Tiffany Ross. The Musical Guests of Honor were Sub Level 03. [1]

Pre-registration for Furry Fiesta 2009 ended on January 31st, 2009 with a total of 272 pre-registrations. Among them:

  • The youngest pre-registrant: 11 years old
  • The oldest pre-registrant: 58 years old
  • International pre-registrations: 3

[edit] Final numbers

Furry Fiesta 2009 ended registration on the afternoon of Sunday, February 22 with a total of 542 attending members (the highest first-year convention since Further Confusion 1999) and 561 paid registrations. The fursuit parade featured 92 suits in total (a new record for a first-year convention), and just over $2,700 was raised for CARE (Center for Animal Research and Education),[2] the convention's charity.
