Furry Fiesta is a furry convention that is held in Dallas, Texas, USA and is currently the only such convention in Texas. It occurs in the latter half of each February at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Dedicated to the advancement of the furry fandom as a whole and the enjoyment of its attendees, it includes a variety of events centered around the concept of bringing people together for social enjoyment.
The Dallas Regional Anthropomorphic Meeting Association (DRAMA) was formed as a 501c7 non-profit governing organization in the first half of 2008. Officers were elected, by-laws were documented, and it became an entity in its own right.
Furry Fiesta's third year is scheduled for February 25-27, 2011.

As of 9/20/2009, Furry Fiesta has stayed with CARE (Center for Animal Research and Education) as their charity of choice. Centered in Bridgeport, Texas, this charity takes in, houses, and cares for the needs of more than 50 big cats. Tours are available for those who are inclined to see the tigers, leopards, cougars, and other animals that are nurtured by the volunteers.

- 2010: Tigerwolf, Michele Light, Kyell Gold
- 2011: Megan Giles (Dustmeat), Lucky Coyote
[edit] Themes
- In 2009, Furry Fiesta did not have a specific theme beyond "Beginnings".
- In 2010, the theme is "Space Cowboys".
- In 2011, the theme is "The 1970s - Disco Infurno".
[edit] Previous attempts
Prior to 2009, Exodite Dragon and Kaffa Wolf planned to use the name for a convention, but both individuals had staffing difficulties and issues that caused missed deadlines. Exodite subsequently withdrew his support and released the name for use.[citation needed] Marthaen then took the name for a meet in San Antonio, but the meet was cancelled on 4/7/2008 due to medical bills. Marthaen later agreed to allow Dallas Regional Anthropomorphic Meeting Association to use the Furry Fiesta name.
