Furry Fantasies was the first furry music CD ever produced. It was compiled by Cheetah in 1998 from the music of nine artists, and is still available for sale.
The CD was released to a very limited audience, burned-on-demand, at the cost of 10 Deutsche Marks. Although it met with some acclaim, it was also well-criticized; the quality of the CDs varied greatly, and the songs were seen as being too 'electronic', with too little musical variety. These problems were addressed in the sequel, Furry Fantasies II, whose songs were of a wider musical scope.
