FurEauction was initially programmed by Kurst and computer system administrated by Techwolf. It was their idea to make a less furry drama and more artist oriented auction site.^{[citation needed]} The site debuted in summer of 2001. The services have always been free of charge, and there are no plans to change this in the foreseeable future.
