I was creating a fairdealing template (based on Template:Fairuse when I put in "qualifies as fair dealing of the material under Canadian copyright law." But then I remembered there are 5 countries that use fair dealing (see wikipedia:Fair dealing). Should there be five fairdealing templates (one for each country)? --EarthFurst 08:09, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps you could create one that required the user to specify the country for which the fair dealing laws were being applied, using parameters? --GreenReaper(talk) 08:11, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
I think the extra templates would be overkill, but that's just my non-lawyer opinion. Far more important is writing an image-specific justification for claiming (fair use/fair dealing); for instance "I believe that this qualifies as (fair use/fair dealing) because it is used for commentary on the article, no suitable free image could be created, and it does not interfere with commercial usage of the work." But more specific to the use it's used for. --Rat 08:17, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
