Flamewar

A flamewar is the exchange of flames as part of a heated argument or debate between two or more people in an online medium, such as a forum, mailing list, or IRC. Other members of the medium in which a flamewar is happening either join in or wait for the flamewar to end. It is not uncommon for a flamewar to be started by one or more trolls.
