Flain (previously Flain Falcon) was born in Bessemer, Alabama, U.S.A. on December 31, 1982. One of the founding members of Furry Weekend Atlanta, he was the director of programming until 2007.

He has performed improv and stand-up comedy routines at various furry conventions, most notably FWA and Rocket City FurMeet. He also became involved with podcasting, first as one of the four hosts of Clawcast from 2007-2008, then from 2009-2010 he spun off with his own project called Anthropodcast (or Anthropod) for discussing the fandom, news, and conducting the occasional interview; but his enthusiasm waned and the episodes stopped during a difficult (but temporary) period of unemployment.

As of 2011, Flain became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and has been one of the co-hosts of the Bronyville podcast, under the name Apple Cider.

Flain was one of the Guests of Honor at Feral! 2009.
