Fandom involvement[edit]

Flain is one of the founding members of Furry Weekend Atlanta, and the director of programming until 2007.

He has performed improv and stand-up comedy routines at various furry conventions, most notably FWA and Rocket City FurMeet. He also became involved with podcasting, first as one of the four hosts of Clawcast from 2007-2008, then from 2009-2010 he spun off with his project called Anthropodcast (or Anthropod) for discussing the furry fandom, news, and conducting the occasional interview; but his enthusiasm waned and the episodes stopped during a difficult (but temporary) period of unemployment.

As of 2011, Flain became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and has been one of the co-hosts of the Bronyville podcast, under the name Apple Cider.

Flain was one of the Guests of Honor at Feral! 2009.
