FilthyRotten Jackalope
FilthyRotten Jackalope (real name Tangela Parten, née Harris; born January 9, 1979 - died April 16, 2014), was a furry artist from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. She moved with her husband Paul Parten (DarkPatu, married since 2005) and their three children to Washington in 2013.[1]
Fandom involvement[edit]
She was on the staff of Furry Weekend Atlanta for several years, and in 2008 she became the Volunteer Coordinator. Her last FWAattendance was Furry Weekend Atlanta 2013.
FilthyRotten Jackalope's fursona was a goat-horned, floppy-eared jackalope.
Death[edit]
On April 1, 2014, FilthyRotten posted to her Twitter account that she was in the hospital for a blood transfusion.[2] By April 4, she posted that she was due for emergency surgery the next day.[3] According to her husband, FilthyRotten died on April 16, 2014 at 02:14 AM at the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington, following complications[4] from an emergency hysterectomy which led to brain and cranial bleeding.[5]
A memorial page was set up on her memory on the FWA website on April 18, 2014.[6]
