Fenrisulfr, also known as Fenrisulfr Laufeyjarson or just Fenrir, is a furry artist, from San Diego, California. His fursona is a navy blue and silver wolf, similar in stature as a werewolf. Fenrisulfr draws primarily Vorarephilia as well as fanart of video games. He is also a streamer on Twitch, albeit rarely, as well as a content creator on Youtube, again rarely. He is also the second-in-command organizer of the San Diego Furries

History[edit]

Originally from Kailua, on the island of O'ahu in Hawaii, Fenrisulfr moved up to Seattle, Washington to live with his best friend, Chance the Dragon in Sept, 2013. From there, the duo moved back to San Diego, Chance's home town, in Dec, 2013, due to Chance being dissatisfied with the Seattle furry scene. Since then, Fenrisulfr has been living with Chance, and has taken an active participation in the running of the San Diego Furries, due to latter being the co-founder of the group, and needing help as the previous organizers had since distanced themselves from the group either socially or physically for their own personal reasons. He has since been an active organizer for the San Diego Furries, regularly hosting and attending meets, along with helping the building and tearing down of meetup based structures like canopies and folding chairs.

Fenrisulfr gained his name after playing Kingdom Hearts 2 in 2006, defeating Sephiroth for the first time, and earning himself the Fenrir keyblade. A rabid fan of Sephiroth since the first Kingdom Hearts, he wondered what Fenrir meant, as he believed to have heard it before. Looking it up, it was revealed that it was the name of Cloud Strife's motorcycle in the movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Looking further, it was revealed to him that the true name comes from the wolf deity, Fenrir, of Norse Mythology. It was in reading Fenrir's role in devouring the sky and the Earth at Ragnarok that convinced him that he should take that name. Being obsessed with Vorarephilia, he thought it would be the perfect name for a new fursona created solely for vore, on the new furry site he'd joined, FurAffinity. However, he instead took the name of Fenrisulfr, based on an alternative version of the name, but kept Fenrir as a nickname of Fenrisulfr.

Organizer[edit]

Fenrisulfr is the second-in-command organizer of the San Diego Furries, in charge of running the meetups of the group, and acting as both an HR representative on behalf of the group, and an enforcer of the group's rules. His fursuit is that of a navy blue wolf with silver secondary fur, a long mane, no top head hair, and braided hair tassels. He is normally found wearing a trench coat of some sort from anime or video game characters with his suit head. Chance the dragon, who is both head organizer of the group, and best friend of Fenrisulfr, is considered his boss and commanding officer. The two have been running events together for the greater San Diego County furries since January of 2014.

Real Life[edit]

Fenrisulfr actively bartends parties hosted by fellow San Diego Furries, and is an avid dancer. He is also a social butterfly, and tends to make conversation with almost anyone he meets. Fenrisulfr is commonly seen at meetups carrying on multiple conversations with attendees at once, alluding to his excellent people skills. At the meetups, Fenrisulfr usually enjoys chatting, playing games, and especially foam weapon fighting. He does however, have a bit of a temper, and as such, is prone to outbursts of yelling, and at times, exclusively with the foam weaponry, violence. Nevertheless, he is otherwise a friendly, jovial person whom is always around to listen to stories of those around him, as well as tell stories of his own. His hobbies include playing video games, creating videos, mixology, dancing, and drawing artwork.

Artwork[edit]

Fenrisulfr is an artist who draws primarily vore, specifically oral vore, and is known throughout the vore community, at least in a minor fashion. Nearly 95% of his gallery consists of vorish works, with some scattered fan art appearing on occasion. Despite being a fetish artist, Fenrisulfr also loves to create scenarios for his characters that coincide with a large expanded universe developed for his characters to live in, and interact with. He is also the artist responsible for creating the San Diego Furries' current logo, seen on all of their relevant social media, and on their flag and banner. Chance the Dragon came up with the idea, and Fenrisulfr ended up producing it.

Fursona[edit]

The actual character, Fenrisulfr, takes his name from Norse Mythology, from the wolf deity of the same name. He is a navy blue and silver wolf demigod of a massive forest called Valhalla, and protects it from invaders. Originally just a fetish character, designed for the artist to indulge in his fetish as often as he pleased, Fenrisulfr has instead taken a very different turn and has since been developed into a full character within the expanded universe created by the artist to give his characters more meaning. Devouring people has become woven into the storyline created for the character, and the artist has since expressed interest in creating a larger novel, anime, or video game based on his evolving ideas for Fenrisulfr.

Story[edit]

The setting of Valhalla is on Earth in the far flung year of 3985, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. In Fenrisulfr's timeline, the ocean had dried up, and in its place was a colossal forest that spanned from the West Coast of the United States to Japan, across the entirety of the Pacific Ring of Fire. Fenrisulfr's forest contains a legendary mineral called Altorite, which has fantastic and unbelievable properties which could advance human development on the desolate Earth on which the story takes place. But as decreed by the goddess Syn, who gave Fenrisulfr his powers, the humans were deemed not ready for such a gift, and as such, are denied its secrets. Prior to Fenrisulfr, there were numerous other Guardians of the forest, with powers and abilities equivalent to that of gods, including immortality, but due to an unforeseen ripple in spacetime, these previous Guardians were made mortal whenever they indulged in a specific vice, equivalent to the Christian Seven Deadly Sins. Fenrisulfr, at the time an ordinary Dire Wolf subspecies, was to be the final Guardian ascended by Syn, but he was not able to transcend into true godhood like his predecessors. Instead, he was given the ability to perform all possible functions of a god, but not given the infinite energy that would normally power such abilities. Being limited by his body's own natural energy limitations, his magical abilities are constrained entirely by his caloric intake, which makes the consumption of large amounts of food of vital importance to his survival and usefulness as a Guardian of Valhalla. It just so happens that his vice that would normally remove his immortality was Gluttony, and since he wasn't technically an immortal, it never impacted his ability to perform his duties. He eventually began consuming people to sustain his magic, due to the effeciency of such an act, and a previous guilty pleasure of the thought of doing so, and developed ways to reform them back to the way they were, all while using less energy than the person's body gave him.

Fenrisulfr was given permission by Syn to use the fabled Altorite as a resource in his defense of the forest, and as such, developed staggeringly advanced technology to aid him in his battle against the invading forces of the Earth's corrupt governments. Within 300 years, Fenrisulfr created a multitude of city-states throughout the interior of the great forest, as well as automated, highly advanced robotic soldiers, autonomous mechs, and advanced energy weaponry, used in the defense of Valhalla. At the same time, he opened up the forest to the general populace of the planet, so they could live within the sanctuary of Valhalla, away from the oppressive governments that held onto the dying planet. The cities Fenrisulfr designed were utopias, where all of the citizen's needs were met, thanks to the commonality of a multitude of life-changing technologies, including molecular teleportation, matter synthesis, and gravitational levitation, all of which were possible with Altorite.
