Eurofurence 16, theme "Serengeti", is a European furry convention that was held from the 1st to the 5th of September 2010 at the Maritim Hotel in Magdeburg, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany. 973 guests attended the convention[1], of which 251 registered for a fursuit badge.[2]. The charity for the animal sanctuary Gnadenhof Emmrich raised EUR 5771.15 (~US$7442)[3]. Eurofurence 16 makes Eurofurence offically the longest running furry convention in the world after beating the old record set by Confurence.

Maritim Hotel[edit]

Is a 4 star hotel having 514 rooms for a total housing capacity of 1016 people without overbooking. The hotel includes: sauna, swimming pool and fitness center. The Hotel's largest function room can accommodate up to 1660 people.[4]

Stan Sakai was announced as EF16's Guest of Honour by Cheetah on February 9, 2010.[6]
