Equestria Daily (EQD) is an online news magazine dedicated to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, particularly concerning fan-driven content such as fanfiction and conventions. It consists of blog-style posts written by an extensive staff team.[1]

History[edit]

Shaun "Sethisto" Scotellaro founded EQD in hopes of unifying My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic's self-styled brony fanbase, worried that the show would not be granted a second season.[2]

On March 15, 2013, a mobile app version of the site was released for iOS and Android.[3]

Equestria Daily won the Ursa Major Award for "Best Anthropomorphic Website" in 2011,[4] and was nominated again for the same category in 2013.[5]
