Drifting

"Drifting" is a short story by Kyell Gold. It is set the in "Forester Universe," a setting featured in many of Gold's other works, including his novels Waterways and Out of Position.
The story won the 2009 Ursa Major Award for Best Anthropomorphic Short Fiction.
