Digimon, (デジモン Dejimon), short for Digital Monsters (デジタルモンスター Dejitaru Monsutā), is an anime and comic series from Japan, based on a video game of the same name.
Many species of Digimon are some type of animal, whether Anthropomorphic or not. For example:
- Guilmon is a reptile, vaguely inspired by a Dragon
- Renamon is an anthropomorphic fox, greatly inspired by a kitsune
- WereGarurumon is a werewolf
- Gatomon is an anthropomorphic cat
- Patamon is a little hamster with huge ears.
- Veemon is a blue reptile.
Other digimon have been variants of rabbits, bears, lizards, frogs, and a large number of other species and lifeforms.
Some furries and scalies have created their own 'Digimorphs' (similar to Pokémorphs, albeit less common); Some examples of these Digimorphs can be: Demiglenn, Dragoneer, Patachu, Kato, Darkie and many others.
