Dallas Regional Anthropomorphic Meeting Association
The Dallas Regional Anthropomorphic Meeting Association (DRAMA) is a 501(c)7 nonprofit organization responsible for funding and organizing Furry Fiesta.[1] As of June 2010, its board members were Istanbul, Webster, and Guardian.
The organization was registered on March 13th, 2008 with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.[2] Its purpose is to "[provide] venues for the social gathering of writers, artists and craftpeople to facilitate greater understanding of the various aspects of anthropomorphic art forms" and "[generate] funds for distribution to 501(c)3 charities that match the interests and concerns of said community (in particular those that promote the well-being of animals and humans)."[1]
DRAMA's average annual gross receipts were below $25,000 as of 2009.[3] Its supported charity is the Center for Animal Research and Education (CARE), a local animal rescue facility.[4]
