Confuror 2021 was going to be the fourth edition of Confuror, programed to take place from October 29-31, 2021 at the Fiesta Americana Hotel in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, afther the cancellation of the physical event in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Guests of honor and theme[edit]

The theme of this edition it was announced during the closing ceremony of the Confuror Virtual 2020, a online edition realized due the cancellation of the physical event due the worldwide health crisis of COVID-19, the chosen theme was "Dia de muertos" (Day of the Dead) a Mexican tradition that involves family and friends gathering to pray for and to remember friends and family members who have died.

On July 9 the pysical event was oficialy cancelled due to the new wave of infections of the virus, the appearance of the delta variant and the slow vaccination campaign in Mexico.[1]

Virtual Edition[edit]

Although near of the convention dates, existed the conditions to realize the event in person (low infections rate, advanced vaccination), the staff continued to virtual edition previously announced, at the request of many attendees was decided to keep the theme for the virtual edition of 2021 and the future in person edition of 2022. Like the last virtual edition the event took place during the original dates with a dance contest, charity activities and panels transmitted on Twitch, Youtube, Facebook Discord, and Picarto and three virtual worlds on Minecraft, VRchat and as a novelty in Fortnite.

One of the most representative activities of this edition and as part of a Mexican tradition, was the realization of a "Mega Ofrenda" in VRChat to remind all the furries that they are no longer in this world.

The virtual fursuit parade had 309 participants and charity events garnered a total of $ 4850 USD to El Cora, a crocodile sanctuary in the state of Nayarit.
